# Let your agent record a Jam

> Ask Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex to record a Jam while it works in a browser. You get a link with the video, console, network, and clicks.

Ask your AI agent to record a Jam while it works in a browser. When it finishes, it gives you a Jam link with the video, the console, the network requests, and every click it made, like a Jam you recorded yourself.

> [!NOTE]
>
> This works with agents that run commands on your computer: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and OpenCode. The agent records with the Jam CLI on macOS, Linux, or Windows.

## Ask your agent

Paste this to your agent, with your app's address in place of `<your app URL>`:

```text wrap theme={"theme":"css-variables"}
1. Set up Jam for this project by following https://jam.dev/setup.md
2. Record a Jam of <your app URL> going through its main flow.
3. Send me the link.
```

The agent asks before it installs the Jam CLI, signs you in (your browser opens once), and installs the Jam skills. Then it opens its own Chrome, records while it works, and replies with the link. It does not use your Chrome window, so you can keep working. To set up by hand instead, follow the [Jam CLI quickstart](https://jam.dev/docs/cli.md#quickstart).

> [!NOTE]
>
> Claude in Chrome and other agents that run as a Chrome extension cannot record a Jam yet. They drive your own Chrome, and the Jam CLI cannot connect to it. Use one of the agents above.

## Set it up for other browser tools

If your agent drives the browser with its own tool, such as agent-browser, chrome-devtools-mcp, or a Playwright script, see [Get Jams from your agents](https://jam.dev/docs/cli-record-browser.md) for the setup for each one.
