# Video Blur

> Hide passwords, personal info, and other sensitive content before you share a recording.

Blur hides sensitive information in your video recording so private details stay secure when you share a Jam.

Here's how to use blur in your video recording:

1. Select tab or desktop recording from Jam extension

2. You can use blur before the recording starts by selecting the blur tool during countdown.

   <Note>Available for tab recording only.</Note>

3. You can also use blur during recording. Clicking the blur tool pauses the recording, and you can start selecting elements you want to hide. To remove the blur, click again on the blurred element. When you're done, click **Done** and continue recording your video.

<Note>Elements cannot be blurred after the recording, only before or during the recording.</Note>

4. During window recording you can blur elements across multiple tabs
