What happens to your data
What gets deleted depends on whether you share each workspace with other members.Workspaces where you’re the only member
- The workspace: deleted permanently, along with its folders and settings.
- Your Jams, recording links, and comments: deleted permanently.
- The subscription: canceled automatically if the workspace has one.
Shared workspaces
- Your membership: removed. The workspace and its other members are unaffected.
- Jams and recording links you created: stay in the workspace, so your team keeps its bug reports.
- Your comments: stay on their Jams, attributed to Deleted account.
- Billing: if you manage the workspace’s subscription, billing transfers to another Admin automatically.
Jam keeps the content you created in shared workspaces. To have that content permanently deleted as well, contact Jam support.
Before you delete
- Save anything you want to keep. Deleted Jams and workspaces cannot be recovered.
- Hand off workspaces you administer. If you’re the only Admin of a workspace with other members, assign another Admin in Settings → Members first. Jam blocks deletion and links you to the right page until every shared workspace has another Admin.
- Check whether your company manages your account. If any of your workspaces uses Single Sign-On (SSO) or Directory Sync, your account is managed through your company’s identity provider and the delete option doesn’t appear. Contact your workspace Admin or Jam support.
