Install the Jam extension once, then control exactly where it runs: every site or just a few, local files, and incognito windows.

Install the extension

Install Jam from the Chrome Web Store. The same extension works across all supported Chromium browsers. See Browser support for the full compatibility list. After installing, pin Jam to your browser toolbar so it’s always one click away.

Site access

By default, Jam runs on all websites. To restrict it:

Open Chrome extensions

Enter chrome://extensions in your URL bar and press Enter.

Open the Jam extension details

Click Details for the Jam extension.

Switch to specific-site access

Under Site access, change from On all sites to On specific sites.

Add the Jam domain

Add https://*.jam.dev/* and click Add.

Add any other URLs you want Jam to run on

Use Add a new page to include additional websites.

Re-enable on all sites later

To re-enable Jam everywhere, change Site access back to On all sites.

Local files

Annotate and share feedback on any file type (JPG, PDF, HTML) by opening it in your browser.

Open Chrome extensions

Enter chrome://extensions in your URL bar.

Open the Jam extension details

Click Details for Jam.

Enable access to file URLs

Under Allow access to file URLs, enable the toggle.

Incognito sessions

Jam works seamlessly in incognito mode, giving you complete debugging capabilities while maintaining privacy. Perfect for internal testing, sensitive environments, or when you need to capture bugs without leaving traces in your regular browsing session.
Enable Incognito Access in Chrome
  1. Go to chrome://extensions in your address bar
  2. Find the Jam extension
  3. Click Details
  4. Toggle on Allow in incognito

No. You get the same data collection in incognito mode, including full network logs, console output, and device information.
No. Browser security policies require explicit permission for extensions to run in private browsing modes.
Jam only captures the specific page and interactions you choose to record. Your broader incognito browsing session remains private.
